US News ranks Compass Community Collaborative School, Liberty Common Charter School, and Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School as the three best Fort Collins middle schools, also ranking them in the top 20 Colorado middle schools. Fossil Ridge High School is the newest of the four public high schools in Fort Collins. The building contains energy-efficient lighting, heating, and cooling systems that meet LEED standards. Ridgeview Classical Schools is a K-12 charter public school with a classical curriculum.
