Dear valued clients,
Our business is continuing to operate as we navigate the current COVID-19 situation, and we are adapting our operations by practicing social distancing, and reiterating the practices of good hygiene, like frequent hand washing, providing hand sanitizer and gloves for the moving crews. We are also offering virtual onsites for current/ future clients during the current situation. We will do our best to keep our current clientele informed of any changes to current/ future moves.

As our client, your safety and health is our #1 priority during this state of emergency. Please consider the following guidelines to prepare for your move with us:

⚠ADVICE FOR CLIENTS REGARDING SETTING UP CONDITIONS FOR A MOVE: • Upon our arrival, please have your residence/ office/ items as ready as possible (cleaned/ sanitized and ventilated in advance) for the removal of your items. • It is recommended that you/ your representatives will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance from our crew. Our crew members will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance or more at the time of service. • You will assure continuous ventilation of the spaces we work in at all times. • Please provide dedicated bathroom(s), equipped with soap and paper towels for our crew members.

⚠LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES OF MOVING COMPANIES AND THEIR RIGHT TO CANCEL WORK (NATIONAL LOCAL MOVES): The Government has stated it is or will be implementing (as yet) measures to combat the spread of the virus. Such measures in place might impact our ability to provide services to you (including but not limited for us having to suspend or cancel in full the services) or the virus otherwise affects our ability to fulfill your relocation. This may place us in a position where we will not be able to accept any ability for any losses that may arise and we limit our liability accordingly. We are keeping the matter under careful review and will ensure that all customers are advised of any developments that may affect fulfillment of contracted services.

As our team at Homegrown Moving Company has been following updates, we are choosing to work with & adhere to the guidelines set forth by health officials and authorities. We want to do our part in mitigating the impact and spread of COVID-19 to the businesses and communities we serve, and we are implementing the following strategies to do so:

We have discussed with our team members what to do in the scenario that anyone is experiencing symptoms or may have been exposed to the virus. We have an understanding among ourselves to be transparent if somebody's not feeling good or may have been exposed. We understand the need to self quarantine for the proper amount of time, if this occurs, to avoid any further spread. In turn, we ask the same from our customers. In the event that you are feeling sick or may have been exposed, we are happy to make arrangements for another move date.

Use of examination gloves: Our teams will wear examination gloves while servicing moves as an additional hygiene measure and self protection. Gloves will be discarded after each move.

Due to the high demand of masks, we are unable to provide them at the moment, but if you would like masks to be provided for your move, please provide them and we can use them.

Our team will also have hand sanitizer, and we ask that they are allowed to use a sink or water source to wash their hands when available. Social distancing: Upon arrival to our customers' homes or offices, team members will follow the protocol of social distancing, allowing 6' between team members and you, our customer. We have always valued the professionalism and respect that accompany an introductory handshake, however during the COVID-19 outbreak, we ask that our customers understand for safety purposes that we will refrain from shaking hands or making physical contact.

Proper ventilation: In move settings when available, we request that our customers open outside doors and/or windows to increase air circulation. All of the above will be effective immediately and remain in place until April 20th, until we can reassess the situation and make further announcements. We strive to continue to practice CDC/ Federal / State/ WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines for health and safety to prevent contagion in our community.

Thank you, Homegrown Moving

So, keep reading if you’re looking for professional assistance on your relocation, but don’t know how to find it.

Consider your budget when choosing moving services

We all know that moving isn’t exactly the cheapest project, unfortunately. If you’ve decided to work with the pros who can help you make relocating easier, there is a price to pay, of course. That is why we would advise creating a moving budget and figuring out how much money you can actually spend on your relocation. After you have your defined budget, you can start choosing moving services.

One of the first things to consider before you choose moving services is your budget.

When you’re trying to pick between moving companies Denver, one of the things that can help you decide is asking them for moving estimates. This way, you’ll get to see how much different companies will charge you for their moving services. Though the prices are more or less similar, there are slight variations, so you can pick the moving services that your budget allows. Just remember that the prices that are unrealistically low (or high) are probably a sign of a scam.

What to look for in a moving company

If you want to be able to pick a great moving company and choose moving services the company offers without having any regrets, you should know what to look for. If you don’t have experience with moving companies, maybe you don’t know some of the desirable traits to look for. Don’t worry, we’ll tell you.

  • Transparency and honesty
  • Trust
  • Reasonable prices
  • Insurance
  • Licenses
  • Experience
  • Client-focused staff
  • Professionalism

Make sure the company is legitimate

One of the key things to keep an eye out for when you’re trying to choose moving services that won’t make you regret your decision is red flags. Unfortunately, there are certain companies out there that are trying to scam you and get your money without providing you with the help you’re looking for. That’s why you need to be very careful when you’re hiring residential movers in Denver and make certain that they are legitimate and reputable.

Person signing a contract after choosing moving services
Before you sign the contract and hire movers, make sure the moving company is legit.

Here are a few things you should do when choosing a moving company to make sure you’re not falling for a trap.

  • Read the reviews of different moving companies. This will show you the experiences and opinions of other people who have worked with that company. You’ll be able to figure out if the company is legitimate and reliable or not.
  • Meet the movers in person and ask them everything you want to know. It will be easier to check if the movers are telling the truth if you’re talking face-to-face. Also, you’ll get to ask everything you want to know and see if they’re avoiding any questions or being vague.
  • Visit the moving company to check if there are any red flags. Check if there are brand logos and similar things around. If the company seems sketchy and you notice the red flags you should watch out for, you should just leave.
  • Ask your close ones to recommend a moving company to you. The people you trust might be able to give you the best options and tell you about the companies they had experiences with. This will help you choose movers.

Check out the moving services different companies offer

One of the great things that come with so many different moving companies offering their services is that there’s something for everyone. Namely, most moving companies do offer similar services and there are some standard services that you can get pretty much anywhere. But certain moving companies offer some special services that can provide you with extra help on your move.

Different movers offer different services, so choose the ones that provide all the assistance you’re looking for.

So, before you choose movers to work with, choose relocation services you want them to provide you with. Write a list of things you need help with and look for companies who can provide you with that help. Here’s a quick run-down of the standard services and the specialty services.

The basic services provided by movers

When it comes to the moving services that most companies offer, here’s what they are:

  • Local, long-distance, interstate moving
  • Residential and commercial moving
  • Furniture moving
  • Packing services
  • Storage services

These are pretty standard things that practically every moving company can do for you. But other than these, most movers offer even some extra services.

Specialty moving services

When you’re picking moving services and the list above doesn’t cover all your needs, don’t worry. Here are some special services that some companies offer:

  • Senior moving
  • Student moving
  • Cleaning services
  • Furniture assembly/disassembly
  • Last-minute moving
  • Piano moving
  • Fine art moving
  • Pool table moving

So, as you can tell, there are plenty of services you can get, you just need to find a company that offers everything you’re looking for.

Go with your gut

Sometimes you can follow all the recommended steps, but when it comes to making the final decision, your gut is telling you that something is off. If that’s the case – follow your gut. Trust your instincts if they tell you that a certain moving company doesn’t have your best interest at heart. This will help you choose moving services that you’ll be happy with.
