Dear valued clients,
Our business is continuing to operate as we navigate the current COVID-19 situation, and we are adapting our operations by practicing social distancing, and reiterating the practices of good hygiene, like frequent hand washing, providing hand sanitizer and gloves for the moving crews. We are also offering virtual onsites for current/ future clients during the current situation. We will do our best to keep our current clientele informed of any changes to current/ future moves.

As our client, your safety and health is our #1 priority during this state of emergency. Please consider the following guidelines to prepare for your move with us:

⚠ADVICE FOR CLIENTS REGARDING SETTING UP CONDITIONS FOR A MOVE: • Upon our arrival, please have your residence/ office/ items as ready as possible (cleaned/ sanitized and ventilated in advance) for the removal of your items. • It is recommended that you/ your representatives will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance from our crew. Our crew members will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance or more at the time of service. • You will assure continuous ventilation of the spaces we work in at all times. • Please provide dedicated bathroom(s), equipped with soap and paper towels for our crew members.

⚠LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES OF MOVING COMPANIES AND THEIR RIGHT TO CANCEL WORK (NATIONAL LOCAL MOVES): The Government has stated it is or will be implementing (as yet) measures to combat the spread of the virus. Such measures in place might impact our ability to provide services to you (including but not limited for us having to suspend or cancel in full the services) or the virus otherwise affects our ability to fulfill your relocation. This may place us in a position where we will not be able to accept any ability for any losses that may arise and we limit our liability accordingly. We are keeping the matter under careful review and will ensure that all customers are advised of any developments that may affect fulfillment of contracted services.

As our team at Homegrown Moving Company has been following updates, we are choosing to work with & adhere to the guidelines set forth by health officials and authorities. We want to do our part in mitigating the impact and spread of COVID-19 to the businesses and communities we serve, and we are implementing the following strategies to do so:

We have discussed with our team members what to do in the scenario that anyone is experiencing symptoms or may have been exposed to the virus. We have an understanding among ourselves to be transparent if somebody's not feeling good or may have been exposed. We understand the need to self quarantine for the proper amount of time, if this occurs, to avoid any further spread. In turn, we ask the same from our customers. In the event that you are feeling sick or may have been exposed, we are happy to make arrangements for another move date.

Use of examination gloves: Our teams will wear examination gloves while servicing moves as an additional hygiene measure and self protection. Gloves will be discarded after each move.

Due to the high demand of masks, we are unable to provide them at the moment, but if you would like masks to be provided for your move, please provide them and we can use them.

Our team will also have hand sanitizer, and we ask that they are allowed to use a sink or water source to wash their hands when available. Social distancing: Upon arrival to our customers' homes or offices, team members will follow the protocol of social distancing, allowing 6' between team members and you, our customer. We have always valued the professionalism and respect that accompany an introductory handshake, however during the COVID-19 outbreak, we ask that our customers understand for safety purposes that we will refrain from shaking hands or making physical contact.

Proper ventilation: In move settings when available, we request that our customers open outside doors and/or windows to increase air circulation. All of the above will be effective immediately and remain in place until April 20th, until we can reassess the situation and make further announcements. We strive to continue to practice CDC/ Federal / State/ WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines for health and safety to prevent contagion in our community.

Thank you, Homegrown Moving

How to emotionally prepare for a move to Longmont

Even though moving to a new home can be exciting, it can also be an equally scary and overwhelming experience. The main reason for this is the fact that change can sometimes be difficult. Moving to a new home and practically starting your life over can seem really harrowing. If you are preparing for a relocation, you may be faced with a number of emotions. There will be excitement, sadness, fear, happiness, and even anger. This is all perfectly normal, and trust us when we say that you are not alone. Luckily, Homegrown Moving and Storage Company Colorado is here to help you on your journey. We are here to help you emotionally prepare for a move to Longmont, and secure yourself with a stress-free experience. So, let’s overcome these feelings together, and fill your move with positivity.

Reduce anxiety by preparing for your move in advance

It goes without saying that moving to a new home is a complicated process. There are so many tasks to note down, track, and complete. From hiring Longmont movers and planning the process to packing all of your items and safely moving them. All of these tasks can really shake your foundations and leave you questioning your own limits. But it becomes even worse if you’re faced with feelings of depression, anxiety, or sadness. These can stem from many different sources, such as leaving your loved ones or your favorite neighborhood behind. When you’re weighed down by these feelings, your list of moving tasks can seem endless. To make sure your move is as stress-free as possible, we advise you to begin preparing for the move as soon as you can.

Preparing for your move on time greatly helps reduce stress

If you procrastinate and wait for the last minute, you will only make your moving anxiety worse, and this is the last thing you want. Keep in mind that, besides hiring residential movers Denver and packing, you’ll have to accomplish many other tasks. These include changing your address, transferring your medical records, and enrolling your kids in a new school, to name a few. All this can be very tiring and emotionally taxing, so it is important to give yourself plenty of time to achieve it all. If you start planning for the move at least four months in advance, you’ll give yourself ample time to prepare. This way, you won’t feel pressured, and you’ll easily achieve your goals one at a time.

Emotionally prepare for a move to Longmont by focusing on the positives

Sometimes, we have to relocate even if we’re happy with our current location. If you’ve just received that lucrative job offer you’ve been expecting, you’ll have to leave everything behind and chase the opportunities that await you. In moments like these, it is very easy to dwell on the negative aspects, such as leaving your loved ones behind. This is especially true if, for example, your spouse received a job offer, and you have to move against your wishes. But, if you’ve already committed to the idea of moving, and contacted long distance movers Colorado, there’s no point in focusing on negative things. Instead, be optimistic, and focus on the good things that await you. Moving to a new city will expose you to new cultures, lifestyles, and outlooks. Change can be scary, but it can also be exciting and enriching. It all depends on the way you perceive it.

Say goodbye to everyone in order to gain proper closure

Letting go can be a very hard thing to do, but sometimes we are left with no choice. As the moving day draws nearer, you need to come to terms and say goodbye to everything and everyone you love in your hometown. This will certainly be difficult, but give yourself enough time and visit your favorite parks, bars, and other places of interest. Working with apartment movers Denver and dealing with moving tasks will certainly keep you busy, but you can’t forget about those close to you. With that in mind, you need to spend as much time as possible with friends and family, before embarking on your journey. Sharing happy moments with those closest to you will feel rewarding, and will provide much-needed closure, after which you can open a new chapter in your life.

Plenty of rest will help you emotionally prepare for a move to Longmont

If you want to be alert and productive while moving, it is very important to get eight hours of sleep. In addition, being well-rested will help reduce stress and other negative feelings that come with it. If you overwork yourself without proper rest, your stress levels will skyrocket. This will have a negative impact on your emotions, and in turn on the success of your Longmont move. It is important to remember that a healthy body and a healthy mind always go hand in hand. In order to reduce the negative effects on your body and mind, you need to sleep plenty, eat a proper diet, and hydrate. Taking good care of yourself will make you feel better overall. And if you’re full of positive energy and high morale, your relocation will be a breeze.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help

The constant pressure of planning and executing a move can really make you feel emotionally drained. Moving depression and anxiety are just a few struggles of moving alone. However, during these times, it is important to remember that you’re not actually alone. A great way to emotionally prepare for a move to Longmont is to ask your friends and relatives for help. Doing so will both lighten the load, but also give you much-needed spiritual strength and moral support. Any feelings of uncertainty about the success of your move will quickly disappear thanks to the encouragement of those close to you. So, don’t be afraid to ask them to help you pack, declutter, and organize. Besides getting the job done faster, you will also be able to spend valuable time with your friends and family before the moving day arrives.
