Dear valued clients,
Our business is continuing to operate as we navigate the current COVID-19 situation, and we are adapting our operations by practicing social distancing, and reiterating the practices of good hygiene, like frequent hand washing, providing hand sanitizer and gloves for the moving crews. We are also offering virtual onsites for current/ future clients during the current situation. We will do our best to keep our current clientele informed of any changes to current/ future moves.

As our client, your safety and health is our #1 priority during this state of emergency. Please consider the following guidelines to prepare for your move with us:

⚠ADVICE FOR CLIENTS REGARDING SETTING UP CONDITIONS FOR A MOVE: • Upon our arrival, please have your residence/ office/ items as ready as possible (cleaned/ sanitized and ventilated in advance) for the removal of your items. • It is recommended that you/ your representatives will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance from our crew. Our crew members will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance or more at the time of service. • You will assure continuous ventilation of the spaces we work in at all times. • Please provide dedicated bathroom(s), equipped with soap and paper towels for our crew members.

⚠LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES OF MOVING COMPANIES AND THEIR RIGHT TO CANCEL WORK (NATIONAL LOCAL MOVES): The Government has stated it is or will be implementing (as yet) measures to combat the spread of the virus. Such measures in place might impact our ability to provide services to you (including but not limited for us having to suspend or cancel in full the services) or the virus otherwise affects our ability to fulfill your relocation. This may place us in a position where we will not be able to accept any ability for any losses that may arise and we limit our liability accordingly. We are keeping the matter under careful review and will ensure that all customers are advised of any developments that may affect fulfillment of contracted services.

As our team at Homegrown Moving Company has been following updates, we are choosing to work with & adhere to the guidelines set forth by health officials and authorities. We want to do our part in mitigating the impact and spread of COVID-19 to the businesses and communities we serve, and we are implementing the following strategies to do so:

We have discussed with our team members what to do in the scenario that anyone is experiencing symptoms or may have been exposed to the virus. We have an understanding among ourselves to be transparent if somebody's not feeling good or may have been exposed. We understand the need to self quarantine for the proper amount of time, if this occurs, to avoid any further spread. In turn, we ask the same from our customers. In the event that you are feeling sick or may have been exposed, we are happy to make arrangements for another move date.

Use of examination gloves: Our teams will wear examination gloves while servicing moves as an additional hygiene measure and self protection. Gloves will be discarded after each move.

Due to the high demand of masks, we are unable to provide them at the moment, but if you would like masks to be provided for your move, please provide them and we can use them.

Our team will also have hand sanitizer, and we ask that they are allowed to use a sink or water source to wash their hands when available. Social distancing: Upon arrival to our customers' homes or offices, team members will follow the protocol of social distancing, allowing 6' between team members and you, our customer. We have always valued the professionalism and respect that accompany an introductory handshake, however during the COVID-19 outbreak, we ask that our customers understand for safety purposes that we will refrain from shaking hands or making physical contact.

Proper ventilation: In move settings when available, we request that our customers open outside doors and/or windows to increase air circulation. All of the above will be effective immediately and remain in place until April 20th, until we can reassess the situation and make further announcements. We strive to continue to practice CDC/ Federal / State/ WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines for health and safety to prevent contagion in our community.

Thank you, Homegrown Moving

First things first – don’t do it alone if you want to pack quickly and properly

Firstly, we have to acknowledge the fact that teamwork makes the dream work. So, if your dream is packing your belongings as quickly as possible, you’ll need a good team of helpers. Doing it all on your own isn’t the best route to go for if you want to avoid spending days surrounded by boxes. So, to pack quickly and properly, you’re going to want to ask for help.

Hire the pros to pack your boxes

If you’re looking for a full-proof way of packing quickly and properly, then this is the solution for you. Namely, if you want to be sure your things will remain safe during transportation and you don’t want to waste time packing, it’s best to contact the pros. One of the best ways of making sure your things are packed properly and safely is to hire the pros to help you.

These packing professionals won’t only pack your things in the safest way possible, but they’ll also use high-quality packing your supplies. It’s no doubt that they will save you some time and a lot of nerves. They will get your things ready for the move and go out of their way to ensure that nothing gets damaged in the moving van. If you’re worried about packing services making your moving price even higher, you can always go for affordable movers Denver who’ll do the job at reasonable prices. But if packing is something you’re struggling with, you won’t regret paying the pros to take care of this task.

Ask friends to give you a hand

Of course, there’s another way to get help with packing and make it easier and quicker. If you don’t like the idea of getting packing services, you can always ask your close ones to give you a hand. If your friends or family members are available, they’ll surely want to help make your packing and moving process easier. So, invite them over to your home and join forces.

When you’re working as a team, you can divide ad conquer. What we mean by that is that each person can be in charge of packing one room, for example. This way you’ll be done in no time and you’ll be able to have some celebratory drinks afterward. No matter how you decide to organize yourselves, this is a great way to speed up the packing process. So, don’t be shy – ask for help.

Declutter before putting things into boxes

One of the things that will come in handy once you need to pack your things is having decluttered beforehand. By getting rid of everything you no longer need, you’re doing yourself a huge favor. This will mean less stuff to pack and, therefore, less time spent amongst cardboard boxes. Not only does decluttering allow you to pack quicker, but it also lowers the cost of your move! Because you’re charged for the weight of your things, you’ll pay less if you have fewer boxes. Plus, there’s no need to spend your time and energy packing things you don’t need or want.

Gather all the packing supplies

Having a team of helpers is great and all, but there’s something else you need if you want to pack fast and properly – packing supplies. You can’t pack without taking the time to get all the necessary moving supplies. Here are some of the basics you’ll need to pack your things well:

  • Carton boxes or plastic containers
  • Bubble pack
  • Packing paper
  • Packing peanuts
  • Tape
  • A permanent marker

Come up with a good system in order to pack quickly and properly

One thing that will help you stay on top of the packing done and maximize your efficiency is a good organization. Coming up with a system when packing is a really good way to get it done quicker and with less chaos. What we recommend is packing one room at a time. By focusing all your energy on one room instead of running around the entire house, you’ll be able to wrap up quickly and properly. This will also prevent you from getting overwhelmed by packing everything at the same time. So, take it step by step and your packing experience will be much less stressful and time-consuming.

Don’t forget about wrapping and labeling

If you’re reading this article, then you don’t only want to make packing as quickly as possible, you also want to do it well. Even if you’re moving last minute, you want to be sure your things will be safe during transport so that they arrive at the destination intact. So, here are some tips:

  • Wrap your items with a bubble pack, packing paper, sheets, blankets, etc.
  • Line the boxes with paper and fill them with packing peanuts.
  • Pay extra attention to protecting your fragile objects.
  • Once your things are safely placed into boxes, there’s one more step – labeling. Take a permanent marker and write labels on each of the boxes.

And with that, you’ve learned how to pack quickly and properly. You’re ready to take on this challenge and you don’t have to sweat it – you know how to do a great job!
