Dear valued clients,
Our business is continuing to operate as we navigate the current COVID-19 situation, and we are adapting our operations by practicing social distancing, and reiterating the practices of good hygiene, like frequent hand washing, providing hand sanitizer and gloves for the moving crews. We are also offering virtual onsites for current/ future clients during the current situation. We will do our best to keep our current clientele informed of any changes to current/ future moves.

As our client, your safety and health is our #1 priority during this state of emergency. Please consider the following guidelines to prepare for your move with us:

⚠ADVICE FOR CLIENTS REGARDING SETTING UP CONDITIONS FOR A MOVE: • Upon our arrival, please have your residence/ office/ items as ready as possible (cleaned/ sanitized and ventilated in advance) for the removal of your items. • It is recommended that you/ your representatives will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance from our crew. Our crew members will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance or more at the time of service. • You will assure continuous ventilation of the spaces we work in at all times. • Please provide dedicated bathroom(s), equipped with soap and paper towels for our crew members.

⚠LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES OF MOVING COMPANIES AND THEIR RIGHT TO CANCEL WORK (NATIONAL LOCAL MOVES): The Government has stated it is or will be implementing (as yet) measures to combat the spread of the virus. Such measures in place might impact our ability to provide services to you (including but not limited for us having to suspend or cancel in full the services) or the virus otherwise affects our ability to fulfill your relocation. This may place us in a position where we will not be able to accept any ability for any losses that may arise and we limit our liability accordingly. We are keeping the matter under careful review and will ensure that all customers are advised of any developments that may affect fulfillment of contracted services.

As our team at Homegrown Moving Company has been following updates, we are choosing to work with & adhere to the guidelines set forth by health officials and authorities. We want to do our part in mitigating the impact and spread of COVID-19 to the businesses and communities we serve, and we are implementing the following strategies to do so:

We have discussed with our team members what to do in the scenario that anyone is experiencing symptoms or may have been exposed to the virus. We have an understanding among ourselves to be transparent if somebody's not feeling good or may have been exposed. We understand the need to self quarantine for the proper amount of time, if this occurs, to avoid any further spread. In turn, we ask the same from our customers. In the event that you are feeling sick or may have been exposed, we are happy to make arrangements for another move date.

Use of examination gloves: Our teams will wear examination gloves while servicing moves as an additional hygiene measure and self protection. Gloves will be discarded after each move.

Due to the high demand of masks, we are unable to provide them at the moment, but if you would like masks to be provided for your move, please provide them and we can use them.

Our team will also have hand sanitizer, and we ask that they are allowed to use a sink or water source to wash their hands when available. Social distancing: Upon arrival to our customers' homes or offices, team members will follow the protocol of social distancing, allowing 6' between team members and you, our customer. We have always valued the professionalism and respect that accompany an introductory handshake, however during the COVID-19 outbreak, we ask that our customers understand for safety purposes that we will refrain from shaking hands or making physical contact.

Proper ventilation: In move settings when available, we request that our customers open outside doors and/or windows to increase air circulation. All of the above will be effective immediately and remain in place until April 20th, until we can reassess the situation and make further announcements. We strive to continue to practice CDC/ Federal / State/ WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines for health and safety to prevent contagion in our community.

Thank you, Homegrown Moving

Moving to Greenwood Village

Moving time is exciting. You probably just found a new home in Greenwood Village and can’t wait to move into it. And that’s quite understandable. But, in order to make your relocation successful, you need to do some preparation first. Moving to Greenwood Village requires you to do research, find quality movers, and get your item ready for transport. And all of that can take quite a lot of time. In order to speed things up, here is a guide that will help you through the entire process.

Moving to Greenwood Village starts with a good plan

Every task, no matter how big or small, can benefit from a good plan. It will allow you to have a more organized relocation and to do things more quickly. So, sit down with your family and come up with a list of everything that you need to do. Your plan should encompass everything that needs to be done. From finding quality movers to figuring out how much packing materials you will need for your belongings. But, moving checklist is just part of the puzzle. Your plan should include your duties. Who needs to do what and when.

You need to create a good plan for your relocation to Greenwood Village

It’s best to start planning as soon as you know you’ll be moving. As that will allow you to do proper research, select a good moving date, and do everything correctly.

Creating a moving checklist

One of the most important items in your moving plan is a moving checklist. It will be your guide throughout the moving process. It will allow you a worry-free and most importantly, stress-free relocation. As you will know exactly what needs to be done in order to complete this task. So make sure you keep it handy from day one until you unpack in your new home.

Start by listing all the big tasks that need to be done before you can set a moving date. Some of the items on it should be:

  • Finding a new home if you haven’t already
  • Deciding which items you will be bringing with you
  • Contacting moving companies

But, you shouldn’t stop there. The more comprehensive your checklist is, the easier time you will have when moving. So, make sure you include things like:

  • Buying packing materials
  • Taking care of the utilities
  • Forwarding your mail
  • Storing, donating or throwing away items you no longer need
  • Packing an overnight bag
  • And so on…

Selecting a moving company when relocating to Greenwood Village

Finding the right moving company is not an easy task. There are many different companies, with different services and prices. And you need to select the one that is just right. First, they need to be reputable. Homegrown Moving and Storage Company Colorado, for example, has great ratings and offer an awesome service. So if they are not available, you’ll want to find something as close as possible. The moving company that you choose will be responsible for all your belongings. And it’s not worth skimming on movers just to end up with damaged or lost items.

After you’ve found a few companies that you like, it’s time to contact them. Call and ask about them. See how they respond to some common questions. See if they are pleasant, helpful, and attentive. You want to get the best for your money.

Sort your belongings and declutter

Now comes a time when you should take a break from research and moving companies. And focus on your belongings. In order to get a more accurate and more affordable moving estimate, you should do a couple of things. First, go room by room and list everything that you will be relocating. It will allow you to have a better idea of what packing materials you will need. Secondly, it will allow you to sort out your belongings and see what you no longer need. And third, your moving company of choice will have an easier time giving you an estimate.

Packing will take a lot of time, so it is better to declutter before moving to Greenwood Village

Most moving companies Greenwood Village CO usually charge based on the weight of your cargo. So decluttering before moving is vital. By getting rid of items you no longer need you’ll be able to get a better price for your relocation. Not to mention that it will be easier to unpack and set up your new home.

So either hire professional packing services CO or set aside enough time to pack. You have your list of items which will make shopping for packing materials easer. But you’ll still have to do everything else by yourself. One way to make it quicker and easier is to call your friends and combine packing with a farewell party.

Do your research before moving to Greenwood Village

Doing the proper research before setting a moving date is very important. It will allow you to have a care-free relocation with no unpleasant surprises. So, get your study glasses on, as it’s time to do comprehensive research.

Do proper research before you sign anything

There are many items that you need to research. Even if you’ve been to Greenwood Village before, you should definitely check out the neighborhood you are moving to one more time. After you’ve done that, it’s time to start thinking about possible moving dates. So, checking the long-term weather forecast in Greenwood Village is essential. Moving in the rain isn’t fun. And while totally doable, you’ll want to avoid it. You should also contact a few moving companies, just to see which dates are available if nothing else. And to check whether certain dates can get you a better deal.

Moving to Greenwood Village is just around the corner

After everything is done, all that you have to do is wait for the movers to arrive. You should have an overnight bag packed. With everything that you need to survive a day or two without your belongings. But, other than that, it’s time to truly look forward to Greenwood Village. And to start decorating your new home and enjoy everything that it has to offer.
