Dear valued clients,
Our business is continuing to operate as we navigate the current COVID-19 situation, and we are adapting our operations by practicing social distancing, and reiterating the practices of good hygiene, like frequent hand washing, providing hand sanitizer and gloves for the moving crews. We are also offering virtual onsites for current/ future clients during the current situation. We will do our best to keep our current clientele informed of any changes to current/ future moves.

As our client, your safety and health is our #1 priority during this state of emergency. Please consider the following guidelines to prepare for your move with us:

⚠ADVICE FOR CLIENTS REGARDING SETTING UP CONDITIONS FOR A MOVE: • Upon our arrival, please have your residence/ office/ items as ready as possible (cleaned/ sanitized and ventilated in advance) for the removal of your items. • It is recommended that you/ your representatives will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance from our crew. Our crew members will keep, at a minimum, 6 feet of distance or more at the time of service. • You will assure continuous ventilation of the spaces we work in at all times. • Please provide dedicated bathroom(s), equipped with soap and paper towels for our crew members.

⚠LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES OF MOVING COMPANIES AND THEIR RIGHT TO CANCEL WORK (NATIONAL LOCAL MOVES): The Government has stated it is or will be implementing (as yet) measures to combat the spread of the virus. Such measures in place might impact our ability to provide services to you (including but not limited for us having to suspend or cancel in full the services) or the virus otherwise affects our ability to fulfill your relocation. This may place us in a position where we will not be able to accept any ability for any losses that may arise and we limit our liability accordingly. We are keeping the matter under careful review and will ensure that all customers are advised of any developments that may affect fulfillment of contracted services.

As our team at Homegrown Moving Company has been following updates, we are choosing to work with & adhere to the guidelines set forth by health officials and authorities. We want to do our part in mitigating the impact and spread of COVID-19 to the businesses and communities we serve, and we are implementing the following strategies to do so:

We have discussed with our team members what to do in the scenario that anyone is experiencing symptoms or may have been exposed to the virus. We have an understanding among ourselves to be transparent if somebody's not feeling good or may have been exposed. We understand the need to self quarantine for the proper amount of time, if this occurs, to avoid any further spread. In turn, we ask the same from our customers. In the event that you are feeling sick or may have been exposed, we are happy to make arrangements for another move date.

Use of examination gloves: Our teams will wear examination gloves while servicing moves as an additional hygiene measure and self protection. Gloves will be discarded after each move.

Due to the high demand of masks, we are unable to provide them at the moment, but if you would like masks to be provided for your move, please provide them and we can use them.

Our team will also have hand sanitizer, and we ask that they are allowed to use a sink or water source to wash their hands when available. Social distancing: Upon arrival to our customers' homes or offices, team members will follow the protocol of social distancing, allowing 6' between team members and you, our customer. We have always valued the professionalism and respect that accompany an introductory handshake, however during the COVID-19 outbreak, we ask that our customers understand for safety purposes that we will refrain from shaking hands or making physical contact.

Proper ventilation: In move settings when available, we request that our customers open outside doors and/or windows to increase air circulation. All of the above will be effective immediately and remain in place until April 20th, until we can reassess the situation and make further announcements. We strive to continue to practice CDC/ Federal / State/ WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines for health and safety to prevent contagion in our community.

Thank you, Homegrown Moving

Packing your expensive office items

Planning your corporate relocation is a process where you need to take certain steps to make sure everything goes smoothly. Especially when talking about packing your expensive office items. One wrong move and you can damage your items permanently. That is why you need to know how to do it properly. And what better way to learn more about it than by reading this article. Here you will find everything you need to know to organize your business relocation with ease.

Packing your expensive office items begins with the right packing supplies

You can’t think to move your expensive office equipment with some used packing materials. That will only leave the risk of getting damaged during transportation. What you need to do is go through everything you have at your business, and see what you need to get. For instance, if you have some fragile, sensitive, and very valuable items, you can’t pack them in regular cardboard boxes. Office furniture, electronics, etc, are just some of the items you need to have in mind. Now, the thing is, you will have to make a list of some supplies you need to get. That list should look something like this:

  • Wrapping materials – You can use them to add more protection to your belongings when moving.
  • Materials used to fill up the odd space in the boxes, crates, or bins such as packing hay or packing peanuts.
  • Proper packing tapes
  • Markers
  • Dolly – You can use it to haul the items to the truck.

These are the basic materials you need to get, and we will tell you more about them later in this article. But, one of the most important things you need to have in mind here is that you can transport your office equipment safely if you get help from office movers Denver. Experienced office movers can help you with your relocation so you won’t have to worry about a thing at all. This is one of the best ways to avoid any possible accidents.

Cardboard boxes, wooden crates, or plastic bins?

One thing is for certain here, you can’t pack your expensive office equipment in a used cardboard box. That is why you need to think bigger here. What you need to get is new and more sturdy cardboard boxes, or plastic bins, or in the “worst-case”, wooden crates. They will provide your items with the best protection you can get. Now, the best tip you can use here is to use the original boxes of the equipment. If you are one of those who knew they will be moving soon, then you made the right choice of keeping those boxes. On the other hand, if you do not have any of them, then you need to opt-out of some of the options we told you about earlier in the article.

Packing supplies can’t be that easy to find. But, if you know where to look for them, then you will have no trouble at all. With the help of a Colorado moving company, you will have no issues looking for packing services that you might use when moving your expensive office equipment. It is for the best if you leave it to the professionals.

Air-filled wraps

One of the best things you can get when packing your equipment for the move is the air-filled wraps. They are perfect when you need to pack and protect the fragile items in your home. Not only that but even the most delicate items you have, like expensive electronics or old wooden furniture, will be properly protected during the move. Use this wrap when you need to pack some easily breakable equipment in your office. They are the best soft cushions you will use to properly protect your office tech.

Organizing your move can be very tiring. Especially if you are moving your family business. You will have to coordinate everything with your family members. That is why you have to get help however you can. And one of the best ways is to get to know how to properly move your family business. That way you won’t have to worry about any schedules or damages that might happen during the transportation. Not only that, but you will be able to start working as soon as you move in.

Why use packing tape and markers

The thing is, if you are using new boxes, crates, or bins, you will have to properly secure them, so they won’t open up and break. The thing is, you would use the packing tape to further secure all the items in your cardboard boxes. When you put those apes around the cardboard boxes you will know that they won’t be at risk of getting damaged. Now, when it comes to markers you bought online, you should use them to label what is inside the boxes. That will help your movers know how to properly handle your items and belongings.

Sometimes it can be hard to pack and move everything by yourself. That is why sometimes it could be a good idea to get packing services CO. With professional help, you can rest assured that your expensive equipment will be transported safely. And this is very important to have when you have to move your business.
